with the Locks Cross Cottage bedrooms very almost complete. A place to rest your head after a long day of exploring the great outdoors and soaking up the Wiltshire air. It's all starting to come together and we are so excited.
Locks Cross Cottage has three double bedrooms, large enough to cater up to 6 adults. The layout of the bedrooms in terms of beds, is yet to be decided. All rooms are now decorated and await for finally decisions on decor and interior designs. We have been so excited to get to this point of the cottage renovation, from where it began.
All bedrooms required stripping back due to dampness from the original brickwork walls and leaks from the old roofing. In the process, we revealed some incredible beams that had been covered- this all adds to revealing the true beauty of Locks Cross and we couldn't be more thrilled. Of course, these beams are not being recovered so, we can all enjoy them.
We had great support from the team at MGS Plastering/Drylining in re-boarding the very wonky ceilings, lime plastering and finish of all walls and ceilings. Then the team set off to paint. We still have the beautiful original windows to work on which will take a little time as a lot of care is going in to restoring these.
We are so pleased with the results... what do you think?
Soft furnishings and furniture will bring the beautiful colours from the outdoors, in making these rooms soft, warm and the place of dreams- quiet literally. A holiday let in the Wiltshire countryside for you to enjoy.
